QuantaGrid

QuantaGrid™ is a centralized management server for QuantaStor™ systems that enables you to combine large numbers of QuantaStor™ systems together into large storage grids. From the storage grid you can provision storage clouds with quotas on them where each storage cloud is like a virtual storage array. This drastically reduces hardware expenses as new storage systems do not need to be purchased for new projects when capacity is available. Storage grid administrators simply assign groups of users to storage clouds, and those users can only view an manage the storage and resources within their cloud. This is similar to the storage cloud capability in QuantaStor today, only with QuantaGrid clouds are not limited to a single system. This multi-tenancy capability combined with QuantaGrid's advanced RBAC model enables storage administrators to quickly and easily delegate out common storage management activities to individual cloud owners so they can make more efficient use of their limited time and complete projects faster.

QuantaGrid™ was also designed from the ground up to be deployed in Storage-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications. This means that you can programmatically control QuantaStor™ via our SOAP/WebServices APIs and you can gather key information such as per-user disk utilization data and IO utilization metrics which are key for enabling an effective charge-back accounting system.
